Good Thursday afternoon, well the satellite picture is telling the story of the early afternoon weather, clouds continuing to dominate much of the state, and even a few areas of sprinkles or light rain showing up around the Muncie area.
These are actually temperatures at 11 am and with the cloud cover, they haven’t moved too much. Mid 40s to low 50s, with a 54 degree temperature in Shelbyville.
Forecast for the rest of today, cloudy skies, could become partly cloudy by late in the afternoon. Highs now I believe will be in the upper 50s to around 60, so about 2 to 3 degrees cooler than what I have posted here. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
By tonight, skies will become mostly clear. Lows in the mid to upper 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
Friday, we begin to warm up and add in some sunshine. Mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to near 70 north, low to mid 70s south. West winds around 10 mph.
If you are heading to IMS or even the Anderson Speedway for Friday, be sure to bring your sunglasses. Skies will be mostly sunny as highs will warm from near 70 to the lower 70s. More forecasts look at the Special Event Forecasts link.
Four Day Forecast for Delaware County looking good beyond today's cloudy weather. Mostly sunny on Friday, around 70. A few more clouds on Saturday, but still dry and lower 70s. Sunday, however, while it will be even warmer, I am introducing a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon hours. Highs in the mid 70s.
Same story for Marion County, beyond the cloud fest for today, mostly sunny skies and lower 70s for Friday. Mid 70s and a few more clouds for your Saturday. By Sunday, again while highs could reach the upper 70s, am putting a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.
That is it for this blog, I hope that you all have a great rest of your Thursday!
