Good morning, as many of you know, within the past two weeks I have been in the hospital twice for various health reasons. With these trips to the hospital, my business have taken a big hit with loss revenue. With that in mind, and because of my health, I have to make more changes. Beginning immediately, while I will still have Kentucky for the daily forecast, watches and warnings will no longer be covered for Kentucky. The subscription based forecasts have been suspended until my health improves or we get more interest in that service. As we head into spring, severe weather coverage will also change, a Severe Weather Alert Day will be in effect only for slight risk days or higher and for marginal risk days, unless there’s a tornado threat, coverage may not be wall to wall. In addition, if business do not increase, i.e. more sponsors or new weather clients, I’m afraid that I may have to shut things down completely by the end of May, so if you love what we do, please, please consider making a donation to keep us going, or if you know a business that would like to sponsor us, or any clients that may be interested in customized forecast, please send us a private message or send an email to email@example.com. I do not want to shut down the page and business, but without an increase in business and clients, I may have no other choice. Again, if you love and appreciate what we do, please consider making a small donation, every little bit at this point helps keep us going. The link to make a donation is here. Thank you all and I hope that you continue to support Equinox Weather!
Effective immediately due to my growing health concerns, we will be scaling back on Illinois coverage. We will at times cover weather in northeast Illinois around the Chicago metro area, but the rest of the state for now will see reduced coverage. We may also soon have to scale back on coverage in Kentucky in the coming weeks.
Also, we have lowered the price for a monthly subscription to $10 a month and we also begin immediately offering subscription services to the entire country. Go to the Equinox Weather site and click on Digital Store to begin your subscription.
We are now beginning a new service called Event Forecasts, for $10 we will provide forecasts for your event whether it's a wedding, a festival, or anything in which you need a forecast for. We have not set up the store for that yet, but we will sometime today. You must submit your request between 3 and 10 days out and we will monitor the weather forecast daily and can be sent to your email or in a digital download from the website. If you want weather service for the day of your event, that will incur a different cost of $20 per hour and will include hourly updates via text or whatever means you would like. If you would like more details, please don't hesitate to send an email via the Contact Us tab.
